RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist softball player
Greenlee Wells earned Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday. It's the second straight week she's won.
During the team's three-game series sweep of Arkansas-Monticello, Wells produced these numbers: .750 batting average; 2.250 slugging mark; two home runs; six walks and an on-base percentage of .917. She also did not strike out.
In the opener on Feb. 20, the senior had a first-inning homer before a walk-off seventh inning bomb that lifted OBU to an 8-7 win.
So far this season, Wells is arguably the best batter in the nation. She leads the country with 10 homers, 32 RBI and 65 total bases. Plus, the Vian, Okla., native ranks fourth with a 1.275 slugging percentage.
