SHAWNEE, Okla. – In a game defined by long scoring droughts, physical play, and 19 combined lead changes and ties, Oklahoma Baptist fell 56–51 to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Monday night inside the Noble Complex. With the loss, OBU moves to 11–13 overall and 7–11 in GAC play.
The Bison matched the Bulldogs early, ending the first quarter tied 16–16 behind an efficient 6-of-10 shooting start. OBU briefly gained momentum in the second period, building a four-point lead at 24–20, but a late SWOSU push sent the game to halftime with the Bison holding a narrow 29–28 advantage.
Senior
Jaedyn Getman once again led Oklahoma Baptist, turning in 18 points, four rebounds, and a steal while shooting 7-of-12 from the field. She provided consistent offense throughout the night, scoring in every quarter and delivering seven points in the fourth to keep OBU within striking distance.
Katelyn Davis added 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists, knocking down two threes and spearheading several fastbreak opportunities.
Jordyn Anderson continued her strong play with 10 points, four assists, and four rebounds while going a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and 4-of-5 at the line.
Off the bench,
Parker Stevenson delivered seven points and four rebounds, while
Sydney Duncan added three points and three rebounds.
Reagan Fox provided quality minutes as well, contributing two points and two rebounds.
The Bison shot 40.0% from the field for the game but struggled from beyond the arc (4-of-16) and at the free‑throw line (11-of-17). Second-chance points were hard to come by, as OBU managed only three despite pulling down 34 rebounds. Turnovers proved costly as well, with the Bison committing 18 that SWOSU converted into 18 points.
Southwestern Oklahoma State was fueled by Elle Papahronis' 15 points and
Payten Conde's 14, including three second-half threes. The Bulldogs took the lead for good with just under five minutes to play and closed out the game at the free-throw line.
