SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist (7-6, 3-4 GAC) came up short against Arkansas Tech (9-2, 5-2 GAC), falling 92-84 on Thursday night inside the Noble Complex.
The contest was tight throughout, featuring eight ties and five lead changes. OBU jumped out to a 26-18 lead after the first quarter, but Arkansas Tech responded in the second to cut the margin to 45-44 at halftime. The Golden Suns surged ahead in the third, outscoring the Bison 27-20 to take control. Despite a late push from OBU, Tech held firm in the final frame to secure the win.
OBU shot 49.2 percent from the field and scored 56 points in the paint while converting 16 points off turnovers. Arkansas Tech countered with 12 three-pointers and 20 second-chance points. Both benches contributed 17 points apiece.
Jaedyn Getman led the way with 34 points and 10 rebounds on 15-of-25 shooting. Katelyn Davis added 16 points and two steals, while Jordyn Anderson chipped in nine points and three assists. Brenna Butler scored eight, including a key triple in the fourth quarter.
Logan Young paced Arkansas Tech with 32 points and seven rebounds.
