SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist put together one of its most complete performances of the season on Thursday night, cruising to an 82–57 Great American Conference victory over Southern Arkansas inside the Noble Complex.
The Bison (9–9, 5–7 GAC) set the tone early and never trailed, winning each quarter and using a balanced attack to pull away. OBU led 21–18 after the first, added another 21 points in the second to take a 42–25 advantage into halftime, and closed the night with a 26-point fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Katelyn Davis delivered a standout performance, pouring in a career-high 29 points on 12-of-17 shooting, including 5-for-9 from three-point range.
Jaedyn Getman followed with 21 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, recording a double-double while also handing out four assists.
Jordyn Anderson added 15 points, connected on all five of her free throws, and dished out four assists, while
Brenna Butler contributed six points, eight rebounds, and five assists as OBU shared the ball effectively throughout the night.
Oklahoma Baptist shot an efficient 52.5 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc, while holding Southern Arkansas to 37.3 percent shooting. The Bison controlled the paint with a 42–22 scoring edge inside, forced 13 turnovers, and turned them into 16 points. OBU also capitalized in transition, scoring 17 fast-break points.
Southern Arkansas was led by Kadia Ward and Elena Lijo-Rodriguez with 13 points apiece, but the Muleriders were unable to keep pace with OBU's offensive rhythm as the game progressed.
