OBU Falls To Henderson State

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist put together a strong effort for four quarters but could not match Henderson State's efficiency in the final period, falling 78–61 on Saturday afternoon. The loss moves OBU to 7–9 overall and 3–7 in Great American Conference play.

The Reddies opened the game on a 13–2 run, forcing OBU to play from behind early. The Bison responded with defensive pressure and a more efficient offense. OBU finished the second quarter strong, cutting the deficit to 36–32 heading into halftime.

Both teams exchanged momentum coming out of the break, but OBU was unable to hit a shot over the final 5:05 of the third quarter, allowing Henderson State to take a 52–48 lead into the final period.

The Reddies took control in the final frame, doubling OBU in scoring, 26–13, while making 9-of-12 shots, a 75 percent conversion rate, in the fourth quarter. This surge allowed Henderson State to pull away and secure the victory.
