OBU STUNT rounds out 2025 season ranked 3rd in the nation

NASHVILLE, TN – Oklahoma Baptist STUNT wraps up season with a 3rd place national ranking.

OBU STUNT began the race to another national championship title Thursday April 24 at Lipscomb University.

The Bison faced Maryville University first, closing out the opening game with a 16-11 final to advance.

Game 2 followed Friday evening as the green and gold took on another familiar opponent, Vanguard University. In a close come from behind battle, the Bison pulled out a 17-15 final to take the second game and move on.

Saturday afternoon saw OBU face a strong Jessup University team. In 2024, Jessup was named the NAIA National Champion, but the 2025 season saw the Warriors jump up to the Division ll level. The Saturday night brawl with JU ended in favor of Jessup, 18-13, sending the Bison into the loser's bracket for the first time in the tournament.

After the loss to the Warriors the previous day, the green and gold were set to face a big rival and another familiar name, Davenport University.

Last year in the National Championship game, the Bison went head-to-head with the Davenport Panthers and the game ended in a National Championship for Oklahoma Baptist.

This year, after both teams were overtaken by Jessup, OBU and DU were set for a Sunday morning meeting. An incredibly competitive back-and-forth battle ended in favor of the Panthers, 14-10.

After beginning STUNT in 2015, this year's appearance marked 10 National appearances in 10 years for OBU.
