Wolverton Named DII STUNT Coach of the Year

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist Head Coach Jessica Wolverton (Stiles) was named the College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) Division II Coach of the Year on Sunday. It's the second time that Wolverton has garnered this honor.

The national recognition comes after Wolverton helped lead the Bison program to the D2 National Championship, its second in three years.

During the season, the green and gold posted a 17-1 (.944) record and capped off their incredible year with two of the best STUNT games ever seen.

OBU defeated Jessup University 35-34 (2 OT) and 30-29 in back-to-back days in late April to capture the program's second national title.

Other notes from the season, OBU went 7-0 inside the Noble Complex and Wolverton moved her career record to 111-28, a .798 winning percentage. Furthermore, the rise of the Bison program has seen the squad, since 2021, be the national runners-up four times as well as the two titles in the last three years.

With this upcoming year being STUNT's first NCAA Intercollegiate Championship season, the Bison stand ready to defend their title.
