OBU STUNT Claims Division II National Championship

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Oklahoma Baptist University captured the STUNT Division II National Championship with a dramatic 30–29 victory over Jessup University, securing the program's second national title in the last three seasons. The championship match mirrored the semifinal round—another tightly contested battle—where OBU also edged Jessup by a single point to advance.

The final opened with intensity from the very first rotation. In the first quarter, both teams traded points throughout the Partner Stunt rounds, with neither side able to create early separation as the score remained close through all four routines.

In the second quarter both teams continued to go back and forth. The Bison delivered strong execution in Pyramids and Tosses, earning key points, but Jessup kept responding with key points of their own to keep the score even at halftime 10-10.

The third quarter is where the Bison took the edge. OBU capitalized on critical opportunities in Jumps and Tumbling, securing valuable points on routines eight and three. They went into the final quarter up two points.

The national title came down to the fourth‑quarter Team Routines. Jessup gained a point in the first routine, but the Bison bounced back gaining their two point advantage with two routines to go. It was too much for Jessup to overcome. The Bison held off the late push to clinch their second championship in three years with a final score 30-29.
