Bison Host Mid-Week Affair Against RiverHawks

SHAWNEE – Coming off a series win at No. 10 Harding over the weekend, Oklahoma Baptist (27-15) returns home to face Northeastern State (15-29). The doubleheader begins at 4 p.m. at Bison Softball Park.

The two squads have faced off five times in the Division II era with OBU leading 5-0 dating back to 2021. Last year, the Bison won in Tahlequah by 8-1 and 3-0 scores.

Director of Communications Clayton Coffman will have the call of both games on the Bison Sports Network. Below, you'll find notes on both teams.

Bison Notes
  • OBU was victorious at Harding with wins by 2-0 and 6-4 tallies. It marked the first time in the D2 era that the Bison won a series in Searcy.
  • Kaley Cook notched four stolen bags in the series. She's now got 37 this season, tying the school's 1993 record set by Mary May.
  • Cook's 37 stolen bags are also tops in the GAC and seventh nationally. She's also No. 16 in the nation with six triples, which are one off tying the OBU single-season record.
