After an insane offensive performance on the week with
Braden Smith at the helm, the catcher for the Bison takes the cake for the Player of the Week award.
In the most recent week of action, Smith totaled four homers, 10 RBI, 19 total bases and five runs. Going 6-16 at the plate, Smith totaled a .375 batting average and a 1.188 slugging percentage. The catcher finished with a .412 on-base percentage at a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 25 putouts.
The midweek meeting against Southeastern Oklahoma saw Smith start the week off hot with two homers, and four RBI, going 2-4 at the plate with a couple of runs.
In Game 1 against Southwestern Oklahoma State, Smith went 2-5 at the plate with another pair of homers, two runs, and four RBI, finishing the day batting .444.
Game 2 against SWOSU saw the catcher finish 1-4 at the plate with a double, one run scored and a batting average of .385.
In the final game of the week, Smith went 1-3 at the plate, batting .375.
The previous week of play was the best so far of Smith's collegiate career.
