NEWTON, Kan. – Jade Byrd and
Altyn Bartley each recorded event victories over the weekend at the Bethel College Invite.
During the hammer throw event, Byrd checked in at first place with a throw of 50.78 meters (166-7) while Bartley followed one spot later (47.70m).
Later, Byrd earned another first-place mark in the discus throw reaching 48.02m. Finally, Bartley registered top placement in the shot put with a heave of 13.25m.
Oklahoma Baptist has several competitions this coming week. On March 26-27 they'll compete at the Texas Relays as well as the Washington University in St. Louis' Distance Carnival. Plus, on March 28-29, the Bison will host their annual outdoor invitational at the Hurt Memorial Athletic Complex.
