OBU Women’s Basketball dominate Arkansas Tech with double-digit victory Saturday

SHAWNEE – The ladies of Bison Basketball secured a 20-point win over the Golden Suns Saturday afternoon in Noble Complex. 

Oklahoma Baptist Women's Basketball demolished Arkansas Tech with a 20-point win, ending in a 79-59 final. 

The opening stanza saw OBU totaled 17 points for a seven-point lead over the visitors. The Bison continued to pile it on with a 22-point second quarter while the Golden Suns tallied 12 points, giving Oklahoma Baptist a 39-22 lead headed into halftime. 

Arkansas Tech totaled 20 points in the third frame while the Bison added another 23. The final frame saw both teams total 17 points. The 79-59 total sat in favor of OBU, securing their 11th win of conference play and 15thof the season. 

Oklahoma Baptist totaled 35 bench points, 24 points in the paint 18 second chance points and 16 points off turnovers. The Bison went 31-75 from the field, 13-44 from the three and 4-5 from the line. OBU totaled 46 rebounds, eight steals, on block and 22 assists to close out the afternoon. 

Mackenzie Crusoe led the offensive efforts for the Bison with 21 points on the evening going 9-15 from the field, 2-7 from the three and 1-1 from the line. Crusoe tallied three rebounds, four assists and three steals. 

Kennedy Large was the second leading scorer with 12 points on the afternoon, shooting 5-9 from the field, and 2-5 from the three. Large totaled three assists and two rebounds.

Katelyn Davis totaled 11 points at 50% from the field and 50% from the three. Davis compiled two rebounds, and one assists. 

Allie Rehl claimed the only block for the Bison while compiling seven points, three from the field and one from the three. Rehl totaled two rebounds and one assist. 

Next up for OBU is a Thursday night meeting in Shawnee with Southern Nazarene. The Crimson Storm will make their way to Bison Hill for a 5:30 p.m. matchup with the Bison.
