ARKADELPHIA, Ark – Bison Women's Basketball took down Henderson State Friday night after a late comeback in the second half of play.
Oklahoma Baptist Women's Basketball secured their second win over Henderson State with a 66-61 final in Reddies territory.
Henderson State outscored the Bison in the opening two stanzas with a 42-29 lead headed into halftime. The green and gold got to work after the half, outscoring the Reddies in the third quarter by a couple points. The final frame saw OBU total 23 points to the Reddies' seven to overtake the home team by five at 66-61.
The green and gold totaled 30 points in the paint, 24 bench points, 39 rebounds, six blocks, and four steals. The Bison were 40.4% from the field, 27.3% from the three and 100% from the line.
Mackenzie Crusoe totaled her highest scoring night of the season with 27 points on the evening. Crusoe went 8-17 from the field, 3-7 from the three and a perfect 8-8 from the line. The graduate student compiled three rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals.
Jaedyn Getman tallied 17 points going 6-15 from the field and 5-5 from the line. Getman secured five rebounds one block and one steal.
Next up for the Bison is a Sunday afternoon meeting with Ouachita Baptist at 1 p.m.
