SHAWNEE – Two weeks remain in the regular season and Oklahoma Baptist is heading back to the Natural State for conference games against Henderson State and Ouachita.
The Bison visit the Reddies on Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. before a Sunday, Feb. 23 contest against the Tigers. That game is slated for a 3 p.m. tip.
Earlier this season, OBU won a highly-competitive game against Henderson, 75-72. That game featured five ties and seven lead changes and saw
Ethan Scott score a game-high 22 which included a 6-of-10 showing from deep.
In the matchup with Ouachita, the Tigers won 71-59 and held OBU to 33.3 percent shooting.

Bison Notes
- OBU is on a three-game winning streak after dealing Northwestern a 98-87 defeat in Alva last weekend.
- Over the last three contests, the Bison have shot 49.4 percent from the field, 41 from three-point land and outscored opponents by 10 a game (82.7-72.3).
- The Bison's 98 points against the Rangers were a season-best too.
- Terry Coner Jr. has averaged 20 points per game in this latest stretch. His overall average of 15.8 points ranks eighth-best in the GAC.
- He's also seventh in the league in assists (3.5).
- Look out for JC Curry. Over the last three games, he's made 7-of-9 from deep. He also ranks fourth in the league in free throw percentage (83.6).
- Senior Nathan Wilson continues to lead the GAC in blocks with 31. Wilson also checks in at No. 2 in rebounds per game (7.8).
- As a team, OBU is ranked first in the conference in rebounds per game (37.96) and margin (5.3).
- In eight all-time matchups at Henderson, OBU is 3-5. Last year, the Bison fell 82-77. As for the Ouachita series, the Bison have the same road record at Bill Vining Arena (3-5).
Reddies Notes
- After being near first place in the GAC standings five weeks ago, HSU has lost seven of 10.
- Most recently, the Reddies won at Arkansas-Monticello 87-62 and improved to 14-10 and 10-8 in the GAC.
- The Reddies' offensive attack is pretty solid. They rank 31st in the nation in field goal percentage (48.6) and 35th in free throw attempts per game (22.7).
- Defensively, HSU's 3.3 blocks per game tops the GAC.
- Plus, Henderson's 26.75 bench points per game is second in the league.
- Individually, Nehikhare Igiehon leads HSU with a 15-point scoring average. That's 11th-best in the GAC. He's also second in field goal percentage (57.7).
- He also leads the league in offensive rebounds per game (2.88).
- Also of note, Matthew Mayes' 60 steals are No. 10 nationally and lead the GAC.
Tigers Notes
- Ouachita has won three in a row and five of its last six after sneaking by Arkansas Tech, 68-62, last Saturday.
- The Tigers are 17-7 overall and 12-6 in the GAC. That's a game back of the Bison (13-5) in the conference standings.
- Statistically-speaking, Ouachita might be the best team in the league. They lead the GAC in nine different categories.
- Included in that mix is field goal percentage (49.6), scoring offense (82.0) and assists per game (15.2).
- Individually, Hobert Grayson is one of the best in D2. His 14 double doubles are fourth in the nation and he's fifth in rebounds (276). He went for 22 points and 13 boards in the previous matchup with the Bison.
- Shaun Williams is a legit three-point threat. His 44.0 percent from three is No. 1 in the league.
- Furthermore, PJ Neal checks in at seventh in the GAC with 74 assists.
