OBU STUNT goes 3-1 in opening weekend of 2025 season

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist STUNT had a strong opening weekend to kickstart the 2025 season on the road. 
 
The ladies in green and gold had a great opening weekend in action recording a 3-1 mark for the weekend. 
 
The Bison went head-to-head with Missouri State to open up the schedule with a 24-0 win over the Bears on Friday afternoon. 
 
Back-to-back games saw OBU face Southern Nazarene Friday afternoon as well, securing a 23-0 victory for the green and gold.
 
Saturday afternoon's action opening with a big battle against the reigning Division I National Champions, California Baptist. CBU came out on top with a 24-1 final over the Bison.
 
The final matchup of the weekend came shortly after the CBU game as the green and gold took on Texas A&M-Kingsville. The game against the Javelinas resulted in a 24-0 win for OBU. 
 
The Bison closed out the weekend with an impressive 3-1 total.
 
''We are proud of the growth of the team throughout the games this past weekend! We have a large number of strong returning athletes but also added quite a few extremely talented freshmen and transfers who are taking on key, high pressure roles. The team chemistry this year is exceptional and they are working hard to put the final pieces together to play another impressive, championship season'', stated Head Coach, Jessica Wolverton. 
 
Next up for OBU STUNT is a home tournament with five games on the slate for the green and gold. The Bison will face Davenport University Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., OBU will take on Vanguard University. The final game on Saturday for the Bison will be against Jessup University at 9:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon will have a pair of games on the OBU schedule with a 3:30 p.m. meeting with Drury and a 5:45 p.m. meeting with Missouri State to close out the weekend.
