PITTSBURG, Kan. – Oklahoma Baptist's women's track and field team's first week of the indoor season brought a couple noteworthy marks at the Pittsburg State Crimson and Gold Invitational on Dec. 6.
High-jump specialist
Jamora Horace claimed runner-up honors in that event, reaching 1.76m (5-9.25). That met NCAA provisional standards.
Asia Foster delivered the team's lone event win, crossing the finish line of the 300-meter dash in 38.72. That was a personal-best for Foster.
OBU's next-best finish was delivered by newcomer Tenera Gray. In the triple jump, she reached 11.57m (37-11.50), the fourth-best performance in that event.
Rounding out the Bison's most notable performances,
Olivia Tate took 10th in the 60 meters (7.69) while Foster, Tate,
Bella Driver and
Bianca Gleim earned the same placement in the 4x400 (3:56.50).
Furthermore, Emory Lomon placed 11th in the 200-meter dash (25.63) while
Trista Etheridge and Driver earned 13th-place marks in the mile and 60-meter hurdles, respectively.
Next up for OBU is the Owen Hewett Invitational on Jan. 16 in Norman.
