WEATHERFORD - Oklahoma Baptist came up short on the road, falling 3–1 to Southwestern Oklahoma State (25–15, 25–18, 25-14, 25–15). The loss moved the Bison to 17–8 overall and 9–4 in Great American Conference play.
The Bulldogs came out sharp, taking advantage of 14 OBU errors in the opening frame to claim a 25–15 victory. SWOSU carried that momentum into the second set, producing 19 kills while its strong defensive play limited the Bison to a .022 hitting percentage, extending the match lead to 2–0.
OBU showed resilience in the third, responding with its most efficient offensive set of the night. The Bison hit .361 with 15 kills and only two errors to take a 25–14 win, extending the match.
SWOSU regrouped in the fourth, responding with solid defense and a balanced offense to finish the match with a 25–15 victory.
The Bison struggled to find rhythm offensively overall, finishing with a .076 hitting percentage, their lowest of the season. Despite the tough outing, several players produced solid performances.
Rylee Unruh led the offense with 12 kills and 12 digs, collecting her tenth double-double of the season.
Addison Dale followed with seven kills, while
Melody Donegan added five kills and three digs.

Emily Boyer and
Madi Barnes directed the offense with 16 and 15 assists, respectively. Libero
Karsyn Hunter anchored the back row with 24 digs.
As a team, the Bison finished with 37 kills, 73 digs, 11 total blocks, and five aces, holding SWOSU to a .175 hitting percentage overall.
Oklahoma Baptist returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 6, against Southern Nazarene in the Noble Complex.
