WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist bounced back in emphatic fashion, rolling past Rogers State 82-45 on Saturday afternoon at the Pioneer Event Center.

The Bison controlled the game from the opening tip, racing to a 16-4 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. OBU's defense suffocated the Hillcats early, holding them to just 7.1 percent shooting in the opening frame. By halftime, the Bison had built a commanding 38-15 advantage behind efficient shooting and relentless rebounding.

OBU's offense hit its stride in the second half, pouring in 44 points while shooting 60 percent in the third quarter alone. The Bison finished the day at 40.6 percent from the field and a perfect 15-of-15 at the free-throw line, while limiting Rogers State to 28.1 percent overall and just 9.5 percent from deep.

Jaedyn Getman led the charge with 23 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, going 8-for-8 at the stripe. Parker Stevenson provided a huge spark off the bench, scoring 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including four triples. Faith Wright added eight points and two assists, while Brenna Butler contributed seven points and eight boards. OBU dominated the glass with 51 rebounds and tallied 32 bench points.

The Bison (1-1) will look to keep the momentum going in their next matchup in the Noble Complex against Eastern New Mexico University on Tuesday at 7 pm.
