MONTICELLO, Ark. – Damien Williams,
Emery Crayton and
Zachary Williams each earned All-GAC First Team honors after helping Oklahoma Baptist to a second-place finish during the 2025 Great American Conference Championships on Saturday.
In order, D. Williams, in his first race for the Bison, claimed fourth with a time of 24:14.17 while Crayton followed in fifth (24:17.18). Crayton's time was a personal-best 8K mark.
Rounding out OBU's first-team honorees was Z. Williams. He crossed the finish line in tenth with a personal-best 24:38.41.
As a team, Oklahoma Baptist secured 49 points and only trailed East Central (33) who won its fourth straight conference title.
OBU had three other men receive All-GAC accolades. Joining the second team were
James Williams,
Levi Haynes and
Elijah White. For Williams, he claimed 12th place with a PR of 24:47.75. Haynes, a freshman, PR'd with a time of 25:07.11 which was good for 18th and White took 20th. He, too, earned a personal-best 8K time (25:09.98).
The Bison will now look ahead to the NCAA Central Regional Championship on Nov. 8 in Joplin, Mo.
