RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist women's track and field members
Jamora Horace and
Kimberly McKinney were named Great American Conference Athletes of the Week on Wednesday.
During the high jump event at Pitt State's Rumble in the Jungle, Horace met NCAA provisional standards and placed second with a jump of 1.73 meters. That was also a personal-best mark for Horace and ranked ninth in Division II.
McKinney helped deliver a victory in the 800-meter run. The senior crossed the finish line in 2:13.52 which was a personal-best mark and met NCAA provisional standards.
With Horace's and McKinney's help, the Bison ended up taking second place overall in the invitational.
