RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist senior
Anisha Henderson was selected as the Great American Conference's Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
The honor comes after the Plano, Texas native delivered one of the nation's best long jump marks at last weekend's OU Owen Hewett Invite in Norman.
Competing in the long jump event, Henderson reached 6.05 meters (19'10.25), a total that stands as the second-best mark in the country. It was also good for fourth place overall at the Owen Hewett Invite.
For Henderson, it's her fourth career weekly honor from the GAC.
OBU returns to action on Jan. 24 when it ventures to Pittsburg State's Rumble in the Jungle Invitational.
