Bison Baseball: Recruiting Roundup – Ed. 3

SHAWNEE – This is our final look at this year's 14-player Bison recruiting class brought in by coaches Chris Cox, Cody Painter and Trace Maddux.

Keenan Morris | Infielder | Eureka, CA | Santa Rosa Junior College
  • Last season at Santa Rosa, he produced 40 hits, 10 doubles, a .288 batting average and slugging mark of .468.
  • Had a 4-for-4 performance with two homers and five RBI during a Feb. 28 game at Folsom Lake College.
  • Was a Big 8 Conference Gold Glove winner this past spring.
Coach Cox's Thoughts: "Keenan is a versatile infielder, that can play all three positions. Decorated defensively, being a Gold Glove winner in the Big 8 Conference at Santa Rosa. We're excited about Keenan's versatility on the infield, the upside and balance in the lineup he can bring to the club, and the experience he brings with him from playing in the Big 8 Conference."

Jalen Johnston | Pitcher | San Angelo, TX | University of Texas-Permian Basin
  • Posted a 3.45 ERA and limited opponents to a .245 batting average last season at UTPB.
  • Also had 36 strikeouts and notched two wins with two saves in 23 appearances.
  • Started his collegiate career at Dallas College Eastfield. During the 2023 season, he went 5-1 and registered 64 strikeouts in 53 IP.
Coach Painter's Thoughts: "Jalen had UTPB's lowest ERA and the second-most appearances out of the bullpen last season. He can really spin it and keeps guys off balance while attacking the zone."

Jesse Tisdell | Outfielder | Choctaw, OK | Johnson County CC
  • Over the last two seasons at Johnson County, he produced a .302 batting average, 64 hits, 48 RBI and 18 stolen bags.
  • Helped the team in 2023 reach the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.
  • In 2022, was named to The Oklahoman's All-City Team and was rated as the No. 1 outfielder in the state by Prep Baseball Report.
Coach Cox's Thoughts: "A plus defender, that can be a difference-maker on both sides with the tools he possesses. Was a part of two World Series teams at Johnson County CC and brings invaluable experience to our club in playing and competing for championships. He has the ability to be an integral part of our success."

Connor Jarzombek | Pitcher | Frisco, TX | McKinney Christian Academy
  • Was a two-time All-State selection at McKinney Christian Academy.
  • Earned District Pitcher of the Year honors in 2024
  • Helped McKinney to a State Runner-Up finish in 2023 and semifinal finish in 2024.
Coach Painter's Thoughts: "Connor is a true freshman left-handed pitcher. He has a big breaking ball and has some deception down the mound. We are very excited to have him on Bison Hill and watch him develop."

Jeremy Camarena | Infielder | Santa Maria, CA | Allan Hancock College
  • At Allan Hancock College, played in 50 games the last two seasons, hit .298, collected 36 hits and drove in 21.
  • Produced eight multi-hit games last season including attaining a season-high three hits in a trio of contests.
Coach Cox's Thoughts: "A utility infielder that comes by way of Allan Hancock JC. A two-year starter, that has a lot of experience playing all over the infield. A strong defender, that with continued development, has a chance to have a strong impact on our club."

Tyler Biggs | Pitcher | Valencia, CA | College of the Canyons
  • Made 30 appearances with 17 starts in two seasons at College of the Canyons.
  • Notched 58 strikeouts and collected five wins on the mound in that time.
  • During his senior season (2022) at Valencia High School, participated in the Tyler Skaggs Foundation All-Star game.
Coach Painter's Thoughts: "Tyler is an experienced right-handed pitcher who threw 94.2 innings in two years of junior college. He is known to be a great teammate and a hard worker. His experience and work ethic make him a great addition to the ball club."
