SHAWNEE – Head Coach Brian Whitlock and staff announced the addition of 31 student-athletes to the 2024-25 Oklahoma Baptist Track and Field signing class on Thursday.
This season's recruiting class has 30 incoming freshmen and one junior college transfer.
"When you couple these signees with last year's class, we are really excited about the future," Whitlock said. "We believe that we not only got better nationally but now have the numbers to compete for the men's conference title while pursuing a four-peat on the women's side."
RECRUITING CLASS NOTABLES
Asia Foster, a standout transfer from Western Texas College, highlights the talented womne's class, as she was a JUCO All-American in the 400 meters and 4x400. Additionally, she charted six other top-five finishes this past outdoor and indoor seasons.
Joining Foster are two state champions in Jacey Hammon (Plainview HS) and Savannah Meek (Crossing Christian). Also of note is Carson Jackson from Chandler High School, who was a 3A state finalist in the 400 meters.
Maddox Motley (North Rock Creek) and Austen McQueen (Marietta HS) highlight the men's side. Motley claimed the 3A/4A state crown in 110m and 300m hurdles this past year, while McQueen was a state finalist in the same events.
Quintin Richardson (Luther HS) and Alexzander Moore (Mansfield Timberview HS) were also noteworthy signees for the Bison. Richardson is a big-time leaper out of Luther, Okla., and Moore was a state medalist in the 110m hurdles at 5A Mansfield Timberview.
"We focused on getting some jumpers for our men's class," Whitlock said. "We signed a few solid athletes who will help us be a force nationally and at the conference level next season."
