SHAWNEE – Eighteen matches are set to be played by Oklahoma Baptist this coming season. That includes six non-conference bouts and 12 Great American Conference matches.
OBU, which posted a 9-9-2 record last year while playing in its sixth straight GAC Tournament Final, starts the 2024 campaign on Sept. 5 at home against Angelo State. It'll be the first matchup between the Bison and Rambelles, a program from the Lone Star Conference.
After the season opener, OBU will face Missouri-St. Louis in Topeka, Kansas on Sept. 7 before a Sept. 11 road match against Northeastern State.
What follows is four straight home contests: Midwestern State (9/14); Rogers State (9/18); Central Missouri (9/21) and Southwestern Oklahoma State (9/25). The month of September will then wrap up with a road affair at Northwestern Oklahoma State on Sept. 28.
October opens with a 6 p.m. game against East Central on Wednesday the 2nd. A week later, a rematch from last season's tournament final with Ouachita comes in Arkadelphia at 3:30 p.m.
OBU will split home and away matches its next three contests. On Oct. 12, they'll host Harding before an Oct. 16 match at Southern Nazarene. Then on Saturday the 19th, Northwestern comes to town at 2 p.m.
Down the stretch, the Bison have five remaining contests. Two of those come at home with Ouachita (10/23) and SNU (11/6) while the rest – Harding (10/26), ECU (10/30) and SWOSU (11/9) – will be away from Shawnee.
GAC Tournament action will be between Nov. 13-16 with the top four in the standings qualifying.
