BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Morgan Becker closed the NCAA DII Central Region Championship with a 1-over 73 to finish ninth of 51 participants on Wednesday evening at the Hillcrest Country Club.
Becker shot 8-over par for the event, totaling 224 strokes with rounds of 78-73-73. It is the second-best finish at the regional in OBU history and nearly topped her sixth-place finish a season ago.
The sophomore posted back-to-back 1-under par rounds for the third time this season to claim her top-10 placing. Becker's last go-around boosted her 11 spots of the leaderboards after she sat in ninth after 36 holes of action.
Becker sunk eight birdies and turned in a tie of the ninth-best stroke average (4.20) on par-4 scoring in the tournament.
