OBU Welcomes Allie Cross to Assistant AD Role

SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist University Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Allie Cross as its Assistant Athletic Director for Fan Engagement on Thursday.

Cross comes to Shawnee after spending the last four years at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, an NCAA Division II school. During her time at Parkside, she was the External Relations Graduate Assistant from 2022-2024 where she led all Marketing and Fan Engagement initiatives for the school's 14 sports. Among her duties, Cross assisted with community engagement events and enhanced student and alumni engagement.

"I am extremely excited to be joining the OBU Athletics Department as the newest Assistant AD for Fan Engagement," Cross said.

"Not only do I get to continue the career that I am extremely passionate about, but I get the honor in enhancing the experiences of the OBU students and the surrounding community.  I cannot wait to jump right in and get to know all the amazing people that make this place shine."

Prior to her graduate assistant role, Cross interned with the UW-Parkside strategic communications and marketing department from 2020-2022. Plus, she was a Stadium Operation and Marketing intern with the Rockford Rivets Baseball team during the Summer of 2021 and went back to the Rivets as a Co-Head of Marketing for the 2022 season.

A native of Plano, Ill., Cross played volleyball at Waubonsee Community College from 2018-2020 and then went on to earn both her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sport Management from Parkside.
