RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Fifth-year infielder Adi Reese was named the Great American Conference Player of the Week after spearheading the OBU offense to an undefeated week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Reese keyed Oklahoma Baptist to sweeps over Northeastern State and Henderson State with a team-best batting average of .636 over five games. It is her first weekly nod from the conference this year and the third of her career.

The Whitewater, Kan., native began her week by hitting 3-for-4 and bringing in two runs at NSU. In game two of the twinbill, Reese notched two hits and scored a run while tallying an RBI and a stolen base.

Then, in her final three games in Shawnee, Reese batted .571 (4-for-7) and drove in six runs. Her final curtain call was highlighted by a grand slam in the series finale, the first of her career. She slugged 1.286 while boasting an on-base percentage of .667 and one stolen bag.

Reese couples a career-best batting average of .377 with a tie for the most doubles in the conference (14) this season. She adds 46 hits, 28 RBI, and four HR to go along with the nation's fifth-most sacrifice bunts (12).

The second baseman has also charted a career-high in stolen bases (8).

Reese and company will return to action for its regular season finale against Arkansas Tech this weekend.
