MIRAMAR, Fla. – Oklahoma Baptist wrapped up its three-day outing at Missouri St. Louis' Emerald Coast Collegiate Classic on Tuesday, placing 15th after 54 holes of action.
OBU closed the tournament with a 21-over 305, its best in the event. The squad carded rounds of 321-312-305 to finish at 938 (+86). Additionally, Oklahoma Baptist sunk 10 birdies, including seven in the final round.
Morgan Becker steered the Bison at T-27th after shooting 4-over-par on her final go-around. She posted her best round on Monday, firing a 3-over 74 that featured one birdie and a 1-over-par finish on the front nine.
Becker shot 14-over-par for the event, totaling out at 227 strokes.
Gimena Errecart climbed 10 spots up the leaderboard from yesterday to claim a tie of 44th after charting OBU's lowest round of the day. Errecart recorded three birdies en route to a 3-over 74.
Sam Lehr and Morgan Simmons tied at 72nd with final trips of 77 (+6) and 79 (+8), respectively. Overall, the duo finished 28-over par.
Lehr led the team in birdies (4), including three on Tuesday, and earned the best score on par 3s (3.12 avg, +2). Lehr's 77 was her tournament-best round and shot her seven spots up the charts.
Josefina Serres Scheffer concluded OBU's participants at 79th with a 34-over 247. Scheffer opened play with an 87 (+16) before cutting her strokes by nine on Monday for a 7-over 78.
