SPRING, Texas – The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team kicked off its spring season at Central Oklahoma's Southern Invite in Spring, Texas. OBU turned in a 15th-place finish after shooting a 95-over 959 in three rounds of golf at the Cypresswood Golf Club.
The Bison fired a 27-over 315 today, trimming its opening round of 326 by 11 strokes.
Morgan Becker led OBU's lineup with a 15-over 231 after shooting 5-over-par in the final round. She sunk five birdies over the three-day event and a tie of the second-best stroke average (3.00) of all participants on par 3s. She placed in a tie for 39th overall.
Gimena Errecart trailed at T58th, climbing seven spots from Monday's opening rounds. Errecart shot her best 18 holes on Tuesday, firing a 3-over 75, a tie of the lowest round of any Bison in the tournament. She was 19-over-par for the event.
Rylie Spaulding and Sam Lehr finished one stroke of each other, paced by Spaulding's 31-over 247 that placed 77th. Spaulding shot her best round of the tourney today with a 9-over 81, while Lehr claimed 78th after an 83 (+11) on her last go-around.
Josefina Serres Scheffer wrapped up OBU's participants in a tie for 79th. Serres Scheffer posted rounds of 83-85-82 to finish 34-over-par.

The Bison return to the greens March 4-5 for Southern Nazarene's Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational. The tournament will take place at the Kickingbird Golf Club in Edmond, Okla.
