RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist's
Olivia Kenas became the first Great American Conference women's soccer player to garner Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors at the same time on Tuesday.
The league has been in existence since 2011.
For Kenas, a senior defender, these are her first career honors.
On the offensive end, the Wichita, Kansas native scored twice last week against East Central, a 4-0 OBU victory. One of those goals came via a corner in the first half before a second-half penalty-kick conversion. With that, she moved into a tie for first in the GAC in goals scored (3) and second with six points.
Defensively, Kenas helped lead the Bison by limiting ECU to just three shots on goal. The green and gold attained their third shutout in four matches in the process.
