ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Ouachita made its first nine shots while Oklahoma Baptist had a 13-minute, first-half scoring drought during the Tigers' 76-39 Great American Conference win at Bill Vining Arena on Thursday.
The Tigers improved to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the GAC while the Bison moved its record to 5-6 and 2-3 in the league.

Jaedyn Getman led with nine points each for the Bison who shot 27.8 percent from the field, a season-low.
Ouachita's first quarter wrote the story for the whole game. Within its first nine made field goals, four were from deep. Madeleine Tipton, Laney Mears and Audri Winfrey hit those four long shots and by the end of the first quarter, the hosts led 27-8.
The Tigers' offense was extremely efficient over the course of the contest. They posted season-bests in field-goal percentage (52.8) and three-point field-goal percentage (58.8).
As for the Bison, their 39 points marked just the second time in the Division II era that they were held under 40 points in a game. Previously, Arkansas-Monticello held OBU to 30 points on Jan. 25, 2020.
On Jan. 6, the Bison will look to rebound with a 1 p.m. conference contest against Henderson State (6-5, 2-3 GAC).
