PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's track and field team competed at the Wendy's/Pittsburg State Invitational over the weekend in Kansas.
Flora Dupans recorded her second-best career mark in the shot put (12.69m, 41-7.76), good for ninth place.
In the long jump, Anisha Henderson leaped 5.50m (18-0.5) for sixth, while Elisabeth Jones placed 12th (5.37m, 17-7.5).
Jamora Horace rounded out the notable field event participants with a 12th-place finish in the high jump (1.58m, 5-2.25).
Freshman Mekenzie Connell paced OBU in the 800m, finishing eighth with a personal best time of 2:14.68. Trailing in 15th and 20th were teammates Zoee Weaver (2:18.98) and Kaylen King (2:50.58), respectively.
In the 5000m, Olivia Lynch ran an 18:20.01 for 13th, ahead of Jade Robinson (17th, 18:34.22) and McKayla Schmitt (20th, 18:44.46).
The 4x400 relay team of Delaney Riekert, Kimberly McKinney, Olivia Tate, and Kelechi Christian claimed seventh in 3:55.80 to sum up the weekend's notable finishes.
