RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist senior forward
Alanna Bloomingdale was named the Great American Conference's Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after leading the Bison to a 2-1, upset win at Central Oklahoma on Sept. 9.
For the Skiatook, Okla., native, it is her first career honor.
Against UCO, she scored a career-high two goals. The first of those came in the match's fifth minute when she finished off a pass from newcomer
Brae Baker.
Then 15 minutes into the second half in Edmond, Bloomingdale scored again. That tally turned out to be the game-winner as the green and gold earned its first victory of the season.
Bloomingdale and the Bison will next hit the pitch on Sept. 13 when they visit Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.
