Reese, Miller Collect CSC All-Academic Honors

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist infielders Adi Reese and Gwyn Miller were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Softball Team on Tuesday. The selections are the first All-District honorees in the NCAA era.

To qualify, a student-athlete had to have a 3.50 grade point average or higher, been of sophomore standing and have legitimate playing credentials.

In her second season on Bison Hill, Reese hit .301 and led the team in RBI (38). Reese also steered OBU at the plate with a career-high eight home runs, which ranked eighth in the GAC, and a .574 slugging percentage.

Reese put together nine multi-hit games, including a team-high of four games with three hits. Additionally, Reese totaled 11 multi-RBI contests, featuring a game where she sent four across home plate. In a midweek series at Southwest Baptist, Reese became the first Bison to record three home runs over a two-game span since 2018.

Defensively, Reese racked up 78 putouts and 66 assists en route to a .960 fielding percentage.

Miller, a sophomore from Roanoke, Texas appeared in 40 games and made 13 starts. She recorded 16 hits, scored 12 runs, and batted .283. Miller added 10 RBI, four home runs, and five stolen bases. She posted improvements in slugging percentage, batting average, RBI, and home runs from her freshman campaign a season ago.
