RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – For the fourth time in his career, Oklahoma Baptist's
Dan Pruitt was selected as Great American Conference Player of the Week.
Pruitt is now the only four-time GAC Player of the Week recipient since the program joined the league in 2016. Previously, Jake Gozzo and Carson McPherson won the honor three times each.
Last week, OBU's 6-foot-5 first baseman helped lead the team to a 3-2 record.
He batted .467 with seven hits, a triple and a trio of homers. He also drove in 12, scored seven runs and tallied 18 total bases with a 1.200 slugging mark. Pruitt's best performance came against Emporia State, a 23-17 Bison win.
Pruitt went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and five RBI. In that contest versus the Hornets, he also hit his 40th career homer, making him just the second Bison all-time to reach that total.
