DESTIN, Fla. – Oklahoma Baptist climbed two spots to place 10th behind tremendous third-round efforts from Morgan Becker and Josie Patterson on the final day of the Emerald Coast Classic.
Becker cut her strokes by three from Tuesday's final round to post her lowest score of the three-day event, shooting a 3-over 74 to finish in a tie for 20th. Becker sunk the second-most pars in the tournament (38) and ranked fifth in Par 4s stroke average (4.22).
Patterson shot 12 spots up the leaderboard to finish 31st overall after carding a 74 (+3), her lowest round of the competition. Patterson's final 18 featured four birdies and a team-best finish of 1-over par on the back nine. Furthermore, she finished the event with six total birdies, a tie for the fourth-most at the tourney.
Karlee Holcomb shot a 13-over 84 to place in a tie for 52nd, while Valentina Nunez-Butzonitch moved 11 slots up to tie at 66th. Nunez-Butzonitch shot the third-best round today with a 6-over 77 run that included two birdies.
Hayden Meiser and Rylie Spaulding tied at 70th and 72nd, after shooting 80 (+9) and 82 (+11), respectively.
Next up for Oklahoma Baptist is the Newman Newman Invitational on April 3-4 in Wichita, Kan.
