DESTIN, Fla. – Following two rounds at the Emerald Coast Classic, the Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team is in 12th place of a 17-team field. OBU concluded round one this morning due to harsh weather conditions in Florida after officially starting play on Sunday morning.
The Bison shot 61-over par through 36 holes, highlighted by a first-round 309 (+25).
Morgan Becker leads OBU in a tie for 23rd following a six-over 77 her second time around. Through Becker's first 18 holes, she posted a 76 (+5).
Karlee Holcomb came out on fire, carding an even-71 in round one before shooting 83 (+12) in the second round to sit tied for 26th. Holcomb's round one finish tied the Bison's lowest individual round this season, achieved by Becker at the OBU Invitational in the fall.
Josie Patterson carded an 81 (+10) and 77 (+6) for a tie at 43rd. Patterson's second round featured a birdie and an eagle.
Rylie Spaulding is 73rd after scores of 82 (+11) and 85 (+14), while Hayden Meiser and Valentina Nunez-Butzonitch go into the final day tied for 75th and 77th.
Oklahoma Baptist concludes play at the tournament in round three tomorrow, beginning at 9 a.m.
