DALLAS – Oklahoma Baptist's STUNT team had its season opener on Friday night at Dallas Baptist University.
The Bison started their spring with a bang, sweeping their competition by winning two consecutive matches against Texas-Tyler and St. Mary's.
OBU beat Texas-Tyler by 24 points with an opposing score of zero before going on to beat St. Mary's by a 23-1 count.
Head Coach Jessica Stiles said, "We are really proud of the way we opened the season tonight in Dallas! Our athletes are focused and rising to the challenges of tough new skills in this year's new routines. We are looking forward to getting better one game at a time and a really exciting season ahead!"
New competition includes upcoming matches against California Baptist University and UC-Irvin February 18. The Bison's home opener will take place on Thursday, February 23 vs. Dallas Baptist University.
