What Went Right

- OBU's offense committed a season-low 12 turnovers.
- A strong first quarter. The Bison got out to a 15-6 lead after the first with five different players scoring.
- Wright's three-pointers. After East Central tied the game at 23 early in the third, OBU's sophomore hit back-to-back threes from the left corner to push the Bison back up 29-23. That was a part of a 10-0 run for the hosts.
- In the fourth, the Bison went to the foul line a whopping 24 times and made 18 of those. That helped them stay in front and eventually win.
What Went Wrong
- A stagnant second. The Bison held a nine-point lead, 17-8, after two Parker Stevenson free throws just one minute in. Over the final nine minutes of the second, OBU scored just six more points and missed all six of its shots.
- Converting defense to offense. Despite slowing ECU down throughout the game, OBU's offense missed some opportunities to blow the game wide open. By the end of the 40 minutes, the Bison had shot 39 percent overall and 25 percent from deep.
On The Horizon
- The Bison will take the next week off before returning to Shawnee to prepare for a Jan. 4 road game against Ouachita.
