ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced its 2023 Preseason Central Region Poll and the Oklahoma Baptist Bison found themselves listed at No. 9 in the initial poll.
OBU is entering the 2023 campaign after having produced a 27-22 record last season. The green and gold advanced to the third day of the GAC Baseball Tournament before bowing out.
Fellow conference opponents Southern Arkansas and Henderson State also made the preseason poll at No. 1 and No. 5, respectively.
Under the direction of fourth-year coach
Chris Cox, the Bison will hit the diamond next Friday, Feb. 3 against Emporia State during the Central Oklahoma First Pitch Classic in Edmond.
