SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball player Avery Hellmuth was selected as the Great American Conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President this week.
A member of OBU's committee, she has served as a rep for the past year. Her duties have included assisting and presenting at the Bison Sports Awards, helping raise funds for SAAC through restaurant partnerships, and organizing community service and engagement events.
A native of Dallas, Texas, she has also assisted the OBU athletics department's partnership with the Oklahoma Baptist Children's Home and she attended the 2022 GAC SAAC Retreat.
