SHAWNEE – The Great American Conference announced its 2021-22 All-Academic Team on Thursday morning with 89 Oklahoma Baptist student-athletes being recognized. That total helped the conference reach a record 1,345 honorees, 75 higher than the previous record.
For student-athletes to be considered, they must have enrolled as freshmen prior to the fall of 2021. In addition, their grade-point average must be a minimum of 3.30 based on the 4.0 system.
Here's the breakdown among OBU's teams:
Football: 21 honorees
Women's Soccer: 12
Baseball: 10
Men's and Women's Track & Field: 7 each
Women's Golf: 6
Softball: 6
Volleyball: 6
Women's Basketball: 5
Men's Cross Country: 5
Men's Basketball: 2
Women's Cross Country: 2
