Bison STUNT Close Weekend at DBU

DALLAS – Oklahoma Baptist posted a 2-1 record on Saturday as it closed its weekend at Dallas Baptist. The team started the day with another impressive result, winning 21-0 against Texas-Tyler.

That was followed up with a 21-2 result against DBU. In the nightcap, the Bison pushed last year's D1 STUNT National Champion California Baptist in a 17-10 loss to the Lancers.

The win over DBU was the Bison's second conference win this season. Furthermore, the green and gold improved its record to 6-1 by day's end.

In the morning, the Bison won 21 points over the Patriots who managed to secure just two points by the end of four quarters.

"I was really proud of how the team came out and competed in an early morning game," Head Coach Jessica Stiles said. "The team has continued to make small adjustments to improve their execution."

After a lengthy break, OBU played against the hosts and turned in another strong showing. The Bison notched 21 points again.

Then in the finale against the Lancers, the Bison gave the team from California all it could handle but fell 17-10. The 10 points won though were the most California Baptist had surrendered all season.

Next weekend, OBU will host several squads at the Noble Complex. Starting on Feb. 25, the green and gold will play Southwestern Christian and Michigan State starting at 8:15 p.m. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets online.
