ALVA, Okla. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team fell to Northwestern Oklahoma State, 65-56, at Percefull Fieldhouse in its first road contest of the 2021 season Saturday.

A closely contested first half ended with the score knotted at 35 at the break. The Bison went 11-25 (44%) in the first half while shooting 4-12 (33%) from behind the arc.
The Bison kept it close in the second half as the OBU defense kept the Rangers in check. Unfortunately NWOSU turned up the intensity and went on a 10-3 run in the final three minutes to seal the nine-point win.
Malou Savanna led the Bison in with 13 points and and five rebounds, while
Kaylee Hurst,
Charissa Price, and
Madison Chambers each finished with two assists each.

Andreja Peciuraite contributed 12 points while draining all four of her free throws.

Up next, OBU will travel to Canyon, Texas, for a non-conference tilt against West Texas A&M on Tuesday, Jan. 12 with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m.
