SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist baseball team dominated Ouachita in front of the home crowd at Bobby Cox Field as they took the series opener 11-1. OBU delivered another solid team performance with no errors and closed out the game in seven innings.Â

Pitcher Jake Lipetzkey delivered yet another stellar performance on the mound. He finished with an ERA of 1.50, struck out 12 batters and only allowed one run having faced 25 batters. This performance brought his win total to four.Â

The Bison offense delivered a stellar day of their own. 11 total runs were scored off of seven bats. Six Bison all made the journey around the diamond.
Cliff Pradd led the Bison offense having scored three runs and batted in two runners.
Ramon Enriquez led the team in RBIs having posted three.
Kaimana Bartolome was the third Bison to post multiple RBIs, which brought his season total to 34.Â

Pradd got the offense off and running in the third inning when he hit a double RBI homerun and brought Pledger home. OBU then followed up the two run third with a three run fourth.
Ramon Gomez and Pledger posted single RBIs off of sacrifice flies, which sent
Kase Warner and
Colin Prince home.Â

By the end of the sixth inning the Bison had amassed a 9-1 advantage and Enriquez provided the dagger in the bottom of the seventh when he batted in Pradd and Warner.Â

OBU will look to take the series as they face Ouachita in a Saturday afternoon double header tomorrow Saturday, March 7. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
