Baseball Team Set for Henderson State Invitational

SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist baseball team is set to participate in the Henderson Invitational Friday, Feb. 7, through Sunday, Feb. 9, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

On Friday OBU will take on 2-2 Newman with first pitch coming at 1:30 p.m. Then on Saturday the Bison will take on 2-1 Central Oklahoma at 1:30 p.m. OBU closes out the Invitational with a Sunday morning contest against 2-1 Northwest Missouri State, with first pitch set for 10 a.m. 
 
OBU enters the Invitational with a 2-1 record, earning the series win against Missouri Western State in the season opener. The Bison will look to keep its high offensive production going, as they put up 35 runs on opening weekend.

OBU's Ramon Gomez enters the weekend's contests having earned Great American Conference Player of the Week honors. Gomez posted five runs and batted in three runners on 11 hits in the series win against the Griffons.
