SHAWNEE – The 24
th-ranked Oklahoma Baptist baseball team completed the series sweep of Northwestern after a Saturday afternoon doubleheader. In game one the Bison took a 14-10 thriller, and in game two OBU won 12-7. The Bison have extended their win streak to seven and now sit atop the Great American Conference standings.

Caleb Bly got his third win of the season in game two and
Nick Perry got his first in game one. The Bison offense put up yet another eye-popping day putting up 26 runs between the two games. In game one
Cliff Pradd,
Ramon Gomez,
Ramon Enriquez,
Kaimana Bartolome,
Hector Ruvalcaba, and
Colin Prince all put up two runs.
Eric Carlson and
Joey Pledger both finished the game with one apiece. In game two Pradd, Gomez, Enriquez, and Bartolome all led the team with two runs.
Cade Kissel, Carlson, Ruvalcaba, and Prince finished with one each.

In game one, seven Bison posted RBIs. Bartolome and Pledger led the way with three. Enriquez and Prince both finished with two.
Kase Warner, Gomez, and Ruvalcaba finished with one each. In game two Bartolome led the way with a season high five RBIs. Gomez and Prince followed with two, and Pradd and Ruvalcaba then rounded out the RBIs with one a piece.

In game one the Bison had a total of 16 hits. Ruvalcaba (4), Bartolome (3), Enriquez (2), Prince (2), Pledger (2), Pradd (1), Gomez (1), and Carlson (1) made up the hits the Bison amassed in game one. In game two OBU posted 14. Bartolome (3), Ruvalcaba (3), Pradd (2), Enriquez (2), Prince (2), Gomez (1), and Carlson (1) made up the 14 hits.

In game one the Bison got off to an early 3-0 lead when the Bison posted three runs in the top of the first. Enriquez got the scoring started with he batted in Pradd with an RBI double. Bartolome then followed Enriquez with a double of his own batting in Enriquez. Ruvalcaba then finished off the scoring in the first when he hit a single to left field Bartolome then scored on an error by the left fielder. The Rangers then answered with runs of their own in top of the third cutting the lead to one. Bartolome then hit a two RBI single sending Gomez and Pradd home to bring the Bison's lead to three. In the top of the fifth the Rangers offense came alive and posted seven runs to take a 9-5 lead. The Bison, however, did not flinch and posted five runs of their own to take back the lead. Prince got the rally started when he singled to center field and batted in Ruvalcaba and Carlson. Pledger then tied the game when hit a two-run home run, sending Prince home. Gomez then followed Pledger's home run with one of his own, giving the Bison a 10-9 lead. The Bison then capped off the game with three runs in the sixth and one in the seventh. Bartolome got the 11
th run on the board when Ruvalcaba tripled to center. Ruvalcaba then got the 12
th run when Warner hit an RBI ground out to the short stop. The 13
th run was then scored with Pledger doubled to left field, sending Prince home. The Bison's final run was scored when Enriquez hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh.

In game two the Rangers and Bison traded home runs in the first inning. Daschal Johnson hit one in the top of the first and Pradd hit one in the bottom of the first. Fortunately for the Bison, the scoring did not stop at one, Bartolome hit a two RBI single to center field batting in Enriquez and Gomez. Bartolome then hit another Bison home run to open up the scoring in the third. Prince then followed Bartolome with a two-run double down the leftfield line, batting in Kissel and Ruvalcaba. Prince then finished off the third when he scored on a balk. Gomez then hit the Bison's fourth home run of the game batting in Pradd. Ruvalcaba batted in the final run of the day when he hit an RBI single, which sent Carlson home.

Up next the Bison will take on the University of Central Oklahoma on Tuesday, Feb. 25. OBU has already gotten the better of the Bronchos, 7-2, when the teams met up at the Henderson State Invitational on Feb. 8. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and "The Voice of the Bison" Todd Miller will be on the call.
