DURANT, Okla. – The Oklahoma Baptist baseball team dominate Southeastern Oklahoma State in a Sunday double header. The Bison took game one 13-2 and game two 16-0. OBU now closeout their first conference series on the season going 3-0, having beaten the Savage Storm 7-4 in the series opener Friday, Feb. 15. The team is now 7-2 on the season.

Raul Rizo (3-0) and
Caleb Bly (1-0) take the two wins for the day. Rizo pitched for 5.2 innings surrendering only two runs on seven hits in game one. He struck out two pitchers and faced 25 batters. Bly pitched 6.0 innings in the second game giving up no runs and faced 21 batters. He only allowed three hits and struck out 11 batters.

Between the two games, the Bison offense put up a head turning 29 runs. Nine Bison got on the day's scoreboard.
Cliff Pradd and
Ramon Enriquez led the team in scoring, tallying up six runs a piece on the day.
Ramon Gomez and
Kaimana Bartolome finished second with a total of four runs each.
Eric Carlson,
Joey Pledger,
Kase Warner, and
Cade Kissel all put up two runs.
Colin Prince rounded out the scoring for the Bison with a single run. Gomez, Bartolome, and Kissel all put up two home runs a piece between the two games. Pradd posted one.

Eight Bison put a total of 28 RBIs and 29 hits over the two games. Bartolome (8), Kissel (5), Gomez (4), Pradd (3), Enriquez (3), Carlson (2), Prince (2), and
Hector Ruvalcaba (1) accounted for the 28 RBIs. Gomez (5), Bartolome (5), Pradd (4), Enriquez (3), Carlson (3), Ruvalcaba (3), Kissel (3), Warner (1), Prince (1), and
Bryan Geurkink (1) all accounted for the 29 hits.

In the first game, the Bison got the runs rolling in the top of the first. Gomez hit a two RBI home run out of right field batting in Pradd to take a 2-0 lead. Pradd and Gomez then both hit a solo home run in the top of the third to extend the lead to 4-1. The Bison, however, were not finished in the third Enriquez scored on a Ruvalcaba RBI single to right field. The home runs continued in the top of the fourth when Kissel slammed one out of left field, batting in Pledger. Warner was the next Bison to score in the fourth when Enriquez hit an RBI double. Enriquez then rounded out the scoring in the fourth when Bartolome hit an RBI single up the middle. This gave the Bison a 9-2 lead. OBU then polished off the scoring putting up four runs in the top of the sixth. Gomez hit a sacrifice fly to center allowing Warner to score. Bartolome then capped off the scoring a three-run home run batting in Enriquez and Pradd.

In game two, the Bison offense did not slow down posting a 16-0 rout of the Savage Storm. The scoring began in the top of the second when Bartolome and Kissel put up back to back solo home runs. Pradd then got the third inning going scoring on an Enriquez RBI single. Enriquez then scored on a Bartolome single bring the Bison lead to 4-0. OBU then extended its 9-0 in the top of the fifth. Pradd led off the scoring when he was batted in off an Enriquez RBI. Gomez then followed Pradd when he was batted in off a Bartolome single. Enriquez then scored on an RBI single by Carlson. Carlson and Bartolome then capped off the fifth on Kissel's RBI double to right center. The Bison polished off the game with a seven run sixth. Gomez and Pradd both scored on a throwing error to bring the Bison's point total to 11-0. Enrquiez scored the 12
th run when he was batted in on Carlson's RBI single. Bartolome and Carlson brought the lead to 14-0 when they scored on Prince's two RBI single to right field. Prince and Pledger put up the final two runs when Pradd doubled to right field.

The Bison will cap off the weekends action Monday Feb. 17 when they take on Northeastern State in Tahlequah with first pitch coming at 2 p.m.
