SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team close out the weekend falling to East Central 84-59 in a Saturday afternoon contest at the Noble Complex.

The Bison shot 18-43 (41.9%) from the field and 7-19 (36.8%) from behind the arc. Â 23 of the Bison's 59 points came off the bench.Â
Jaylin Stapleton led the team with 13 points and put up two rebounds and three assists.Â
McKenzie Cooper finished second scoring 11 points, two rebounds, and added a steal.Â
Ugochinyere Nwarie rounded out the top three for the Bison scoring 10 points and tied
Charissa Price for a team leading six rebounds.
OBU traded points with the Tigers in the beginning of the game but the ECU offense came to life and never allowed the Bison to make up any ground.

Up next the Bison hit the road and take on Arkansas Tech Thursday, Feb. 20 and then Harding on Saturday, Feb. 22.
