RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team battled Arkansas Tech hard but came up short, falling to the Golden Suns 78-63, Thursday night inside Tucker Coliseum.
OBU finished the game shooting 24-56 (42.9 percent) from the field. Three Bison finished the game in double figures as
Ugochinyere Nwarie led the way with 20 points and three steals.
Briana Marshall came in second with 12 points and led the team in rebounds with six.
McKenzie Cooper rounded out the top three with 11 points and added five rebounds.
The Golden Suns got off to a fast start and never looked back. They kept the Bison offense in check never giving up a lead.
The Bison will close out their final road trip of season as they take on Harding this Saturday, Feb. 22, with tip off coming at 1 p.m. in Searcy, Arkansas.
